John Muafangejo

John Ndevasia Muafangejo (1943–1987) was a Namibian artist known for his powerful black-and-white linocut prints. Trained at the Rorke’s Drift Art Centre in South Africa, he used bold images and text to tell stories about everyday life, history, faith, and the struggles of his people under apartheid and war. His work gained international recognition for its honesty and humanity, and he is remembered as one of Namibia’s most important artists.
